Defamation of the Khilafah Project is a Sin

Media Undermines Its Own Credibility By Lying on Behalf of a Criminal Regime

The day after Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah Bangladesh shook the criminal Sheikh Hasina regime by issuing its special call, the Dawn newspaper published a flagrantly slanderous report on 18 June 2016 in which it was stated, “Hizb ut-Tahrir (Party of Liberation) is an international militant group outlawed in several countries, including Bangladesh.” By attempting to accuse Hizb ut-Tahrir of militancy, the Dawn newspaper has effectively undermined its own credibility before its readership for Hizb ut-Tahrir is well known within Pakistan, and previous slander campaigns by the regime have failed miserably. Despite a full five days since defiling its publication with such poor journalism, the Dawn editors did not come to their senses yet, neither printing a retraction nor making any attempt to contact the Media Office of Hizb ut-Tahrir in the Wilayah of Pakistan.

Yes, Hizb ut-Tahrir is well aware of the immense pressure on the media from the regime to prevent it from presenting the call for Islam in a favorable light, claiming that this is “glorification of terrorism” and “hate speech.” Yes, Hizb ut-Tahrir is aware that the pressure extends to the point that the media people receive visits from the regime’s thugs were they to even print a small photo of a protest of Hizb ut-Tahrir, buried within the inside pages, let alone a bold statement from Hizb ut-Tahrir. However, such excuses do not justify lying on behalf of a criminal regime that joins its days and nights in disobedience of Allah (swt) and His Messenger (saaw). If the media cannot speak good of the Khilafah project, it can at least not speak ill of it. RasulAllah (saaw) said,

مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَصْمُتْ

“Whosoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him speak good or keep quiet.” [Muslim and Bukhari]

We assure our brothers and sisters in the media that the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood is on the horizon and the regime itself sees it and so has become frantic in defaming the Khilafah project. We urge the people of the media not to demean themselves by standing on the side of the criminal regime, for the Ummah is looking carefully for those who sided with her in her Deen at her greatest time of need and appreciates their goodness. The day is not far when the media will be freed from the bondage to the criminal regime, which is accustomed to using a mixture of threat and bribes upon the media. The day is not far when a Khaleefah Rashid will call upon you and others to account him on the basis of your deen, Islam, so that he remains firm upon the Truth and can face his Lord (swt) in a way that pleases Him (swt). We, with you, look forwards to a day when all believers will rejoice at the complete failure in the attempts to extinguish that which cannot be extinguished. Allah (swt) said,

يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُطْفِئُواْ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَىٰ ٱللَّهُ إِلاَّ أَن يُتِمَّ نُورَهُ

“They want to extinguish Allah’s Light with their mouths, but Allah will not allow except that His Light should be perfected” (At-Taubah:32).

خلافت کی دعوت کو بدنام کرنا گناہ ہے

حکومت کا جھوٹ شائع کر کے میڈیا اپنی ساکھ خراب کرتا ہے

جس دن حزب التحریر ولایہ بنگلادیش نے مجرم حسینہ کی حکومت کو اپنا خصوصی پیغام جاری کر کے ہلا کر رکھ دیا، اس کے اگلے ہی دن ڈان اخبار نے ایک کھلے بہتان پر مبنی رپورٹ 18 جون 2016 کو شائع کی جس میں کہا گیا تھا کہ ،”حزب التحریر (حریت کی جماعت) ایک بین الاقوامی عسکریت پسند گروہ ہے جسے بنگلادیش سمیت کئی ممالک میں کالعدم قرار دیا گیا ہے”۔ حزب التحریر پر عسکریت پسند گروہ ہونے کا الزام لگا کر ڈان اخبار نے اپنے پڑھنے والوں کے سامنے خود اپنی ساکھ خراب کی ہے کیونکہ اس سے قبل بھی حکومت کی جانب سے حزب کے خلاف ہونے والی الزام تراشی کی مہمات بری طرح سے ناکام ہو چکی ہیں اور اب پاکستان میں حزب التحریر ایک مشہور جماعت ہے۔ اس قدر بری صحافت کی مثال قائم کرنے کے پانچ دن گزر جانے کے باجود ڈان کی ایڈیٹرز اب تک اپنے ہوش و حواس میں نہیں آئے ہیں کہ نا تو انہوں نے اپنی اس رپورٹ کو واپس لیا اور نہ ہی ولایہ پاکستان میں حزب التحریر کے میڈیا آفس سے رابطہ کرنے کی کوئی کوشش کی۔

حزب التحریر حکومت کی جانب سے میڈیا پر پڑنے والے شدید دباؤ سے باخبر ہے جس کے تحت حکومت اسلام کی دعوت کو اچھے انداز میں پیش کرنے سے منع کرتی ہے کیونکہ وہ اسے “دہشت گردی کی تعریف” اور “نفرت انگیز تقریر” قرار دیتی ہے۔ حزب التحریر اس بات سے بھی باخبر ہے کہ یہ دباؤ اس حد تک چلا جاتا ہے کہ حکومت کے غنڈے ان کے دفاتر کے چکر لگاتے ہیں اگر وہ اندرونی صفحات پر حزب التحریر کے مظاہرے کی ایک چھوٹی سے تصویر بھی شائع کر دیں جبکہ اس کا کوئی اہم بیان شائع کرنا تو دور کی بات ہے۔ لیکن اس قسم کے حالات حکومت کی ایما پر جھوٹ شائع کرنے کا جواز نہیں بن سکتے جو دن رات اللہ سبحانہ و تعالیٰ اور اس کے رسول ﷺ کی نافرمانی کرتی ہے۔ اگر میڈیا خلافت کی دعوت کے حوالے سے اچھی بات نہیں کر سکتا تو کم از کم اس کے خلاف تو نہ بولے۔ رسول اللہﷺ نے فرمایا،

مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَصْمُتْ

“جو بھی اللہ اور روز آخرت پر ایمان رکھتا ہے، اسے چاہیے کہ اچھا بولے ورنہ خاموش رہے” (مسلم و بخاری)۔

ہم میڈیا میں موجود اپنے بھائیوں اور بہنوں کو یہ یقین دلاتے ہیں کہ منہج نبوت پر خلافت کا قیام بہت قریب ہے اور حکومت خود اس بات کا مشاہدہ کر رہی ہے اور اسی وجہ سے بوکھلاہٹ میں خلافت کی دعوت کو بدنام کرنے کی کوشش کر رہی ہے۔ ہم میڈیا کے لوگوں سے یہ کہتے ہیں کہ وہ مجرم حکومت کے ساتھ کھڑے ہو کر خود اپنے ہاتھوں اپنی ساکھ خراب نہ کریں کیونکہ امت بغور دیکھ رہی ہے کہ وہ کون ہیں جو ان کے ساتھ اس دین کے لئے کھڑے ہیں جب اسے ہمنوائی کی سب سے زیادہ ضرورت ہے۔ وہ دن اب زیادہ دور نہیں جب میڈیا مجرم حکومت کی غلامی کی زنجیروں سے آزاد ہو جائے گا جو میڈیا کو دھمکیاں اور رشوت کی پیشکش کرتی رہتی ہے۔ وہ دن دور نہیں جب خلیفہ راشد آپ کو اور دیگر افراد کو اس بات کی دعوت دے گا کہ اسلام کی بنیاد پر اس کا احتساب کیا جائے تاکہ وہ سچائی پر پوری استقامت کے ساتھ کھڑا رہے اور اپنے رب کا اس حال میں سامنا کر سکے کہ وہ، اللہ سبحانہ و تعالیٰ اس سے راضی ہو۔ ہم آپ کے ساتھ اس دن کا انتظار کر رہے ہیں جب ایمان والے اس نور کو بجھانے کے لئے کی جانے والی کوششوں کو مکمل طور پر ناکام ہوتا دیکھیں گے جسے بجھایا ہی نہیں جاسکتا۔ اللہ سبحانہ و تعالیٰ فرماتے ہیں،

يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُطْفِئُواْ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَىٰ ٱللَّهُ إِلاَّ أَن يُتِمَّ نُورَهُ

“یہ اللہ کے نور کو اپنی پھونکوں سے بجھانا چاہتے ہیں لیکن اللہ اپنے نور کو مکمل کیے بغیر ماننے والا نہیں” (التوبۃ:32)۔
