وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَنْ ذِكْرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكًا

“Whosoever turns away from My Reminder (Qur’an) verily,”

With Pakistan’s national budget expected at the end of May 2012, the Presidency’s spokesman Farhatullah Babar said on 8 February, “There should be a paradigm shift in the policy to provide relief to the common man.” It is not enough for us to understand that this government does not care about the sufferings of the people, rather it must be understood that no government under this current capitalist system can ever bring prosperity, or even the very least of it, “relief” from hardship, even after another sixty years.

Since Pakistan was established, successive rulers have implemented an exploitative capitalist system, which benefits only the Western colonialist and the traitor agents within the military and political leadership. Until now, the traitors and their Western masters have usurped hundreds of billions of dollars worth of the Ummah’s wealth over decades, using the existing capitalist system, which by design concentrates the wealth in the hands of the few, as has happened everywhere, including the Western world. This wealth is more than enough to meet the basic needs of the population and free Pakistan from the need of any loans. As for the future, even if new rulers are approved by Washington or London to replace the existing ones, either through elections on the civilian side or retirement and promotion on the military side, the hardship will only increase because these traitor rulers shall be implementing the same kufr capitalist system.

It is only when the sincere and aware politicians of Hizb ut Tahrir secure the Nussrah from sincere officers within the armed forces and establish the Khilafah, that the Muslims will not only witness relief, they will enjoy a surge in economic prosperity, through the implementation of Islamic economic system.

O Muslims of Pakistan! You will never see relief from the hardship of unaffordable electricity, gas, kerosene, diesel or petrol, under this system. In capitalism, public resources, whose huge value should grant benefit for the entire society, are handed over through privatization to a few capitalists, the traitors and their closest henchmen, to exploit for personal profit. Accordingly the prices of energy, when it is available, have increased many folds in a few years, crippling industry and leading to a surge in unemployment, with millions of youth wandering the streets, without hope. Only once Hizb ut Tahrir establishes the Khilafah will you see relief in terms of affordable and available energy. This is because in the Khilafah system, public properties can neither be privatized nor even nationalized, rather the people are its actual owners, whilst the state only administers them on people’s behalf. RasulAllah صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

الْمُسْلِمُونَ شُرَكَاءُ فِي ثَلَاثٍ الْمَاءِ وَالْكَلَإِ وَالنَّارِ

“The Muslims are partners in three things, waters, feeding pastures and fire” (Ahmad)

Accordingly, all energy resources, including oil and gas wells, coal mines and electricity generation plants will never be privatized. So, the Khilafah will never profiteer from these public properties, rather it will ensure they benefit the entire society. This will significantly reduce the prices of power and fuel, providing relief for the masses and new life to the crippled industry and agricultural sector. Moreover, Islam has mandated that the revenues generated through the export of these public properties are placed in the Khilafah’s treasuries and spent on all the citizens of the Khilafah, regardless of their race, gender, language or religion. And you know by now that only Hizb ut Tahrir is aware of such matters and sincere to implement it.

O Muslims of Pakistan! You will never see relief from the hardship of crippling taxes under the current system. In capitalism, the ruler has the oppressive “right” to impose taxation, whenever and however he likes. In fact over the past sixty years, colonialist agent rulers, from the military and the political leaderships, have successively increased taxation to the point that today, GST and other indirect taxes make up more than half of the total revenue of the state, causing misery for tens of millions. Only once Hizb ut Tahrir establishes the Khilafah will you see relief from crippling taxes, because RasulAllah صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ صَاحِبُ مَكْسٍ

“The collector of taxes will not enter heaven” (Ahmad)

Accordingly, the state is not allowed to tax the people at will or in response to demands from the World Bank and IMF. The revenues for the Khilafah’s state treasury are only those ordained by Allah سبحانه و تعالى. In Islam, the people’s private property has sanctity and the Khilafah state cannot rob its citizens under the guise of “taxation”. Only Allah سبحانه و تعالى decides which revenues are fair as well as who are able to pay them. Islam has its own unique system of revenue collection, including revenue from public properties, such as gas and oil, copper and gold, agricultural production, such as ushr and kharaj, and industrial manufacture through Zakah on goods, which will generate funds for looking after the people, without oppressing them. And you know by now that only Hizb ut Tahrir is aware of such matters and sincere enough to implement it.

O Muslims of Pakistan! You will never see relief from the hardship of barely affordable food, clothing and shelter, under the current system. The current rulers implement the capitalist policy of fiat currency, printing more and more new paper money, decreasing the value of the money that is already in circulation and is in your pockets, raising the prices to unbearable levels. The rupee that was once worth over eleven grams of silver before the British occupation, after over two hundred years of the capitalist system is now worth less around one nine hundreth’s of a gram of silver! And with each passing month of kufr rule, it is worth less and can buy less. Only once Hizb ut Tahrir establishes the Khilafah will you see relief in rising prices, because Islam mandates that each coin and note is backed by real wealth i.e Gold and Silver. RasulAllah صلى الله عليه و سلم commanded the Muslims to mint Gold Dinars, weighing 4.25g, and Silver Dirhams, weighing 2.975g, as the currency of the state. This is why the Khilafah enjoyed stable prices for over a thousand years. And you know by now that only Hizb ut Tahrir is aware of such matters and sincere enough to implement it.

O Muslims of Pakistan! You will never see relief from the misery and despair of huge unemployment under the current system. Majority of Pakistan’s population is rural based and possesses excellent and abundant agricultural resources, but under the colonialist system ownership of land is separated from its cultivation, so those who cultivate lands do not actually own it, but pay a lease to the actual owner. They are forced to seek jobs in the cities as they cannot make ends meet. Only once the Khilafah is established will you see a surge in rural production. Uniquely, Islam links the ownership of land with its cultivation. RasulAllah صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

مَنْ أَعْمَرَ أَرْضًا لَيْسَتْ لِأَحَدٍ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ

“Whosoever cultivated a land that is not owned by anybody, then he deserved it more.” (Bukhari)

Islam has also stipulated to take back the agricultural land from his owner if not cultivated for three consecutive years. This will ensure the full utilization of the agricultural land by the owner which will increase agricultural production. The Khilafah state will provide grants or loans without interest for anyone who can cultivate lands. So, within months, there will be an increase in both cultivation of land and increased rural livelihood. And you know by now that only Hizb ut Tahrir is aware of such matters and sincere enough to implement it.

O Muslims of Pakistan! At a time when the world is rejecting the injustice of capitalism, we here present to you just some of the blessed economic solutions from Islam that Hizb ut Tahrir has pledged to implement and you will see them soon practically in the form of the Khilafah inshaaAllah. So, gather around the sincere and aware politicians of Hizb ut Tahrir and demand from your fathers, brothers and sons in Pakistan’s Armed Forces to grant the Nussrah to Hizb ut Tahrir for the immediate establishment of the Khilafah. Only then will the immense wealth in the Muslim Lands, oil, gas, gold and agricultural lands, become the fuel for an economic revolution, propelling the Khilafah to become the leading economic state, as it was for over a thousand years previously. Allah سبحانه و تعالى said,

كَيْ لاَ يَكُونَ دُولَةً بَيْنَ الأَغْنِيَاءِ مِنْكُمْ

“It is so that the wealth does not circulate solely among the wealthy from amongst you.” [Surah Al-Hashr 59: 7]
