Hizb ut-Tahrir is organizing an international media conference in Beirut, Lebanon on 18th July 2010. The conference is being organized to mark the 89th annual painful remembrance day of the destruction of the Khilafah on the 28th Rajab 1342H/ 3rd March 1924.  The title of the conference is“Hizb ut-Tahrir’s opinion on world’s major regional and international issues”.

The deputy spokesman of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Pakistan, Mr. Shahzad Shaikh made this announcement during a press conference at Karachi Press Club. He said that after the destruction of Khilafah the Muslim Ummah is in a terrible plight and its problems have increased many folds.

Mr. Shaikh said that Hizb ut-Tahrir is working in more than forty countries for the establishment of the Khilafah. Hizb held an International Khilafah Conference in 2007 at world’s 10th largest stadium, in Indonesia.  About one hundred thousand people participated in the conference. Moreover, in 2009 Hizb held an International Ulemma Conference in Indonesia in which thousands of Muslim scholars pledged solidarity with Hizb ut-Tahrir in its struggle for Khilafah. Also in 2009 when the whole world was plunged in economic crisis, Hizb ut-Tahrir held an International Economic Conference in Sudan, and highlighted the reasons behind economic crisis and presented before the world Islam’s economic system as an alternative to the Capitalist economic system.

The deputy spokesman said that this year on 28th Rajab, the day Khilafah was destroyed, Hizb ut-Tahrir is going to hold an International Media Conference, in which Muslim Ummah’s most critical political issues and disputes will be discussed so that the practical political solution of all problems could be presented before the Ummah.  This conference will reiterate to the Ummah that their problems will never be resolved by the imperialist nations such as the U.S, Britain, France nor by the treacherous rulers like Zardari, Hossni Mubarik and by King Abdullah, rather they’ll have to take their matters in their own hands by establishing Khilafah and solve these issues according to Islamic Sharia. Furthermore, the participants will get a glimpse of the internal and foreign policy of the emerging super power i.e. the Khilafah. He said Hizb ut-Tahrir, which is the real leadership of the Ummah, is fully ready to shoulder the responsibility of taking care of the affairs of the people by establishing the Khialafh and the upcoming Beirut Conference will be another proof of this fact. He said a large number of sincere politicians and media personalities will attend this conference from the whole world. In the conference numerous policy papers will be presented to convey Hizb’s point of view on various political issues such as Philistine, Iraq, Sudan, Afghanistan, Kashmir, Indonesia’s separatist movements, Cyprus, Central Asia, Eastern Turkistan (Xingjing) as well as on issues faced by Muslims in the western world. Also international issues such as global economic crisis and nuclear crisis will be discussed in detail. This conference is going to take place on Sunday, 6th of Sha’ban, 1431 Hijri corresponding to 18th July 2010 at Bristle conference hall, la Bristle Hotel, Convention Centre, Wardon, Beirut, Lebanon.

The deputy spokesman of Hizb, Shahzad Shaikh, demanded from the media that they should cover this very important international event and play their positive role in conveying solutions, presented in the conference, to the Ummah.
