Setting up Connections between Secularism and Islam is a Struggle in Vain that will End in Disappointment

President Erdoğan, in an interview with Saudi Arabia’s El-Arabiya channel, was asked the question, “You combine Islam and secularism very well. What is your advice to the Arab world on this?”, which he answered by saying, “I have difficulties in understanding why the Islamic world retarded in connecting these so much. We do not see secularism as ‘LA deeny’, as religionlessness. A person does not become secular, the state does.” And he answered the question of “Do you have a dream such as bringing back the Khilafah?” with “…Turkey is heading towards a referendum. In this election for the presidential system, there is nothing in the kind of your question. I mean the Khilafah is not on Turkey’s agenda whatsoever.”

These ill-fated and dangerous statements do nothing but confuse the minds of the Muslims and verify the truth of the word, “If you do not live what you believe, you will end up believing!”

O Erdoğan! Secularism is not a concept you can define with fallacious words like “a person cannot be secular, the state can”, because the whole world knows what secularims is. Walking around the problem without touching the essence of the problem means that you are trying to hide this poison from the Muslims and seek to success in what the CHP failed, namely to make the Muslims embrace secularism. These efforts are in vain! Because the Muslims know very well what secularism is. Secularism is distancing religion from the state, the society and life. Secularism is disavowing Allah His dominance and rebelling against Him. Actually it is disavowing the commandments of Islam, which He has obliged to be implemented by the state.

O Erdoğan! So according to you –Allah forbid- Allah Azza wa Jall can interfere with the man, with life but cannot interfere with the state, is that so? Also, according to you, did Rasulallah (saw) -Allah forbid- govern the first Islamic State he established in Madinah by secularism? In order to present secularism, the Aqeedah of capitalism, like a part of Islam; one either has to be ignorant of secularism or of Islam. Or you are talking like this in order to look cute in the eyes of the West and the Kemalists in face of the upcoming referendum, like you always did before every election. If that was not the case, you would be concerned about the Khilafah which is the governmental system of Islam instead of democracy, which is imported from the West and imposed upon this people by the CHP. The Khilafah is not simply a fantasy on television series. On the contrary, it is the undeniable reality of our glorious history, the command of Islam, Allah Azza wa Jall’s promise, and the shield behind which the Muslims are protected. Therefore; being an Ottoman descendant is not defending Western imposed democracy and secularism in exchange for the destruction of the Khilafah, rather it requires defending and being concerned with Islam and the Khilafah.

O Muslims and O Scholars! Secularism which is the Aqeedah (creed) of Capitalism is diametrically opposed to Islam’s Aqeedah of “لَا اِلَهَ اِلَّا اللهْ مُحَمَّدُ الرَّسُولُ اللهْ“. Just like democracy is diametrically opposed to the Khilafah. You know that secularism and Islam are absolutely incompatible. So why do you keep silent and don’t say the truth? Why don’t you shout out that secularism is religionlessness? Why don’t you speak out against the President, who seeks to achieve with a few decorated and heroic words what the CHP could not achieve with gallows? Why don’t you account your leaders for their words, and reveal the truth?

﴿وَلاَ تَلْبِسُواْ الْحَقَّ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُواْ الْحَقَّ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ﴾

“And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it].” [Baqara: 42]

سیکولرازم اور اسلام کے درمیان تعلقات جوڑنا ایک ایسی فضول کوشش ہے

       سعودی عرب کے العربیعہ چینل کو انٹرویو دیتے ہوے صدر اردوان سے ایک سوال کیا گیا،” آپ اسلام اور سیکولرازم کو ملانے کے ماہر ہیں۔ عرب دنیا کو اس بارے میں کیا نصیحت کریں گے؟”۔ اس کے جواب میں انہوں نے کہا،” میں یہ سمجھنے سے قاصر ہوں کہ اسلامی دنیا ان دونوں کو ملانے میں دیر کیوں کر رہی ہے۔ ہم سیکولرازم کو لادینیت نہیں سمجھتے۔ ایک شخص سیکولر نہیں ہوتا بلکہ ریاست ہوتی ہے”۔ اور اس سوال کے جواب میں کہ” کیا آپ خلافت کی واپسی کا خواب دیکھتے ہیں؟” اردوان نے کہا ” ۔۔۔۔۔ ترکی ریفرینڈم کی طرف گامزن ہے۔ صدارتی نظام کے اس الیکشن میں، اس سوال کی کوئی گنجائش نہیں ہے۔ میرا مطلب ہے کہ خلافت کہیں سے بھی ترکی کے ایجنڈے پر نہیں ہے”۔

یہ بد قسمت اور خطرناک بیانات مسلمانوں کو ذہنی طور پر الجھانے کے سوا کچھ نہیں کر رہے اور اس حق بات کی تصدیق کر رہے ہیں، “اگر آپ اپنے عقیدہ کے مطابق نہیں جیتے تو آخر کار آپ کا عقیدہ خراب ہو جاتا ہے!”

اے اردوان! سیکولرازم ایک تصور نہیں جس کی آپ غلط الفاظ سے وضاحت کریں، جیسا کہ ” ایک شخص سیکولر نہیں ہو سکتا، ریاست ہو سکتی ہے”، کیونکہ ساری دنیا جانتی ہے کہ سیکو لرازم کیا ہے۔ کسی مسئلہ کے ارد گرد اُس کی اساس کو چھوئے بغیر گھومنا کوئی بھی حل لانے سے قاصر ہے۔ یہ ایسے ہی ہے جیسے آپ مسلمانوں سے یہ زہر چھپانے کی کوشش کر رہے ہوں اور اس میں کامیابی ڈھونڈ رہے ہوں جس میں سی ایچ پی(حکمران جماعت) ناکام رہا، اور وہ یہ کہ مسلمانوں کو سیکولرازم اپنانے پر آمادہ کر لے۔ یہ کاوشیں بے سود ہیں! کیونکہ مسلمان بہت اچھی طرح جانتے ہیں کہ سیکولرازم کیا ہے۔ سیکولرازم دین کو ریاست، معاشرے اور زندگی سے دور کر دیتا ہے۔ سیکولرازم اللہ کی نافرمانی ہے، اس کے غلبہ سے انکار اور اس کے خلاف بغاوت ہے۔ درحقیقت یہ اسلام کے احکام سے انکار ہے، جس کا اس نے ریاست پر نفاذ کا حکم دیا ہے۔

اے اردوان! تو آپ کے مطابق –نعوذباللہ –اللہ ایک انسان کی زندگی کے معاملات میں تو دخل دے سکتے ہیں مگر ریاست کے معاملات میں دخل نہیں سکتے، کیا ایسا ہی ہے؟اور یہ بھی، آپ کے مطابق، کیا رسول اللہ ﷺ نے –نعوذباللہ– مدینہ میں قائم ہونے والی پہلی اسلامی ریاست سیکولرازم پر چلائی تھی؟ سرمایہ داریت کے عقیدے سیکولرازم کو اسلام کا حصہ ظاہر کرنے کی دو ہی وجوہات ہو سکتی ہیں، کہ یا تو سیکولرازم کا علم نہیں یا اسلام کا علم نہیں۔ یا پھر یہ کے ایسی باتوں سے آپ خود کو مغرب اور کمالسٹ کو اچھا ظاہر کرنا چاہتے ہیں تاکہ عنقریب ہونے والا ریفرنڈم جیت سکیں جیسا کہ آپ ہر آنے والے الیکشن سے قبل کرتے ہیں۔ اگر ایسا نہ ہوتا تو آپ خلافت کے متعلق فکر مند ہوتے جو کہ جمہوریت کی جگہ اسلام کا نظام ہے۔ جمہوریت تو مغرب سے لا کر یہاں سی ایچ پی کے ہاتھوں تھوپی گئی ہے۔ خلافت کسی ٹیلی وژن ڈرامے کی تصوراتی کہانی نہیں ہے۔ اس کے برعکس، یہ ہماری شاندار تاریخ، اسلام کا حکم، اللہ عز و جل کا وعدہ ہے اور وہ ڈھال ہے جس کے پیچھے مسلمان محفوظ رہتے ہیں۔ اس لیے عثمانویوں کی جانشینی یہ نہیں کہ مغرب کی مسلط شدہ جمہوریت اور سیکولرازم کا خلافت کی تباہی کے بدلے دفاع کیا جائے، بلکہ ضرورت اس بات کی ہے کہ اسلام اور خلافت کی فکر کی جائے اور اس کا دفاع کیا جائے۔

اے مسلمانو اور علماء ! سیکولرازم جو کہ سرمایہ داریت کا عقیدہ ہے اسلام کے عقیدہ “لا الٰہ الا للہ محمد الرسول اللہ” کے بالکل خلاف ہے۔ بالکل ایسے ہی جیسے جمہوریت خلافت کے بالکل خلاف ہے۔ آپ جانتے ہیں کہ اسلام اور سیکولرازم بالکل مطابقت نہیں رکھتے۔ تو پھر آپ خاموش کیوں ہیں اور سچ کیوں نہیں کہتے؟ آپ اعلان کیوں نہیں کرتے کہ سیکولرازم دراصل لا دینیت ہے؟ آپ صدر کے خلاف بولتے کیوں نہیں، جو کہ چند خوبصورت اور مضبوط الفاظ کے استعمال سے وہ حاصل کرنا چاہتے ہیں جو کہ سی ایچ پی موت کی سزاؤں سے حاصل نہ کر سکا؟ آپ اپنے رہنماؤں کا اُن کے الفاظ پر محاسبہ کیوں نہیں کرتے، اور حق کو آشکار کیوں نہیں کر دیتے؟

﴿وَلاَ تَلْبِسُواْ الْحَقَّ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُواْ الْحَقَّ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ﴾

“اور حق سے باطل کو نہ ملاؤ اور دیدہ دانستہ حق نہ چھپاؤ”(البقرہ:42)
