An open letter to Media, Journalists, Owners of Media Houses, TV Anchors, Reporters and Columnists

From Mrs. Naveed Butt, wife of Pakistan’s spokesman for Hizb ut-Tahrir

Assalamu Alaikum

You all know my husband very well. In order to fulfill his professional obligations he remained in touch with most of the people in media. And you also know very well that on Friday, 11th of May 2012, he was abducted by government thugs when he just reached his home after picking his children from school. In front of my three innocent children and neighbors, they dragged him from the car and placed him in the typical white Suzuki high roof van used by ISI and then ran away.

Respected representatives of media!

My husband was working in media for the last twelve years to develop awareness regarding Khilafah. He met a lot of people amongst you as a spokesperson of Hizb ut-Tahrir. He wrote letters and provided literature and books of Hizb ut-Tahrir to you. He had no personal interest with any of you, neither did he expect worldly or financial gains in this thorny path. He only wanted from you that you should join him to combine our efforts in order to establish the Khilafah state and to fulfill this mutual obligation. We spent twelve years in this fear that if not today may be tomorrow, thugs of the government agencies may kidnap him. This danger has also been faced by every sincere Muslim living in this country who wants the comprehensive implementation of Islam and who is struggling for the establishment of Khilafah. Many of our members and supporters have been harassed, imprisoned and abducted by these agencies. Our public Islamic dars’s teaching people Quran and Sunnah, were raided and people were arrested. At the moment apart from Naveed Butt, member of Hizb Habibullah Saleem is in illegal detention of agencies for more than a month.

Respected journalists!

My husband spent a lot of time amongst you so that you should realize that the current democratic capitalist system and current governments and politicians have failed and will remain a failure even after hundred years. He also told you that the only possible solution which can lead us out of this miserable situation is to implement the same thing which Allah (SWT) gave to His Messenger (SAW) and he (SAW) implemented it and it remained in place till 1924. Under the shade of Khilafah Muslims remained strong, mighty and the most powerful nation on the earth. This is the only solution which is the demand of our Aqeedah and it is an obligation on us to implement it. Allah subhana Wa’ tala said:

إِنْ الْحُكْمُ إِلاَّ لِلَّهِ

The ruling rests only with Allah.(Yusuf.75)

وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ الظَّالِمُونَ

And whosoever does not judge by that Which Allah has revealed, such are the oppressors (Zalimun). (Al-Maida.45)

But unfortunately most of you did not reply to this call and the call of your conscience and preferred your temporary benefits, jobs and the glitter of this world. But you must remember the way things are moving within the Muslim World soon you will lose these worldly benefits. At this time not only Pakistan but the whole Muslim Ummah and even the entire human race could only be saved with the implementation of the system of Allah (SWT). You must remember that this worldly life is momentary and no one can die before his time. Your fear not only lets you down in this world but also you will not get any thing except indignity and disrespect on the Day of Judgment. Allah subhana Watala said:

وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَنْ ذِكْرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكًا وَنَحْشُرُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَعْمَى

But whosoever turns away from my reminder (Quran) verily for him is a life of hardship and we shall raise him up blind. (Taha-124)

RasulAllah (SAW) said:

أَلَا لَا يَمْنَعَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ رَهْبَةُ النَّاسِ أَنْ يَقُولَ بِحَقٍّ إِذَا رَآهُ أَوْ شَهِدَهُ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يُقَرِّبُ مِنْ أَجَلٍ وَلَا يُبَاعِدُ مِنْ رِزْقٍ

“Fear of the people should not stop any one of you from speaking the word of truth when he sees and witnesses it, verily saying the word of truth neither brings your death closer nor pushes away your sustenance.” (Ahmad)

Therefore you must come out of this fear and openly discuss the name and struggle of Hizb ut-Tahrir. Discuss its harassed and abducted members. I ask you who is responsible for raising the word of truth against these tyrant rulers? Is it not the responsibility of media? If you remain anxious to mention even the name of Hizb, let alone covering its sacrifices for the establishment of Khilafah all over the world, then neither the situation of your personal matters nor the national or international situation would improve for the better.

Respected Anchor persons, Reporters and Columnists!

At this time when my husband has been abducted since 11 May 2012 by these government thugs, and on 24 May these agencies sent a message to us, threatening to kill Naveed Butt and to dispose of his body if he does not desist from his call. Now it is your religious, ethical and professional obligation that you must write and present programs against this vicious and illegal act because being a spokesperson of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Pakistan he remained in touch with you. If you remain silent on this oppression, then these agencies which have been made the slave of the rulers will become more daring in their repression.

Muhammad (SAW) said:

وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَتَأْمُرُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلَتَنْهَوُنَّ عَنْ الْمُنْكَرِ أَوْ لَيُوشِكَنَّ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عِقَابًا مِنْهُ ثُمَّ تَدْعُونَهُ فَلَا يُسْتَجَابُ لَكُمْ

“(I vow) by the One in Whose hands my soul rests, you have to enjoin the good and forbid the wrong, other wise Allah will be about to send upon you a punishment from Him, then you would pray to Him but He would not answer you”. (Ahmed and Tirmidhi)

Only you people have the weapon of pen and camera which can scare these rulers and inform the people of their tyranny. Then what matter is stopping you to help bring the real change? My husband told you on several occasions that it is only Hizb which is presenting systems of Islam as a detailed practical and implementable program. It is only Hizb which has a comprehensive and practical constitution based on Quran and Sunnah. Also it has a team of best experts, politicians and a people who have global vision who are even today successfully running the affairs of the world’s biggest political party spread out in more than forty countries under the command of a single Ameer. Then what hinders you to become a part of this movement of truth and real change? You know very well that whether it is Nawaz Sharif or Fazul ur Rehman or Imran Khan or the so called religious political parties, they all belong to the same cadre. Amongst them no one is the real opposition and also they do not pose any danger to America and its agents Kayani, Zardari and Gilani. Because all of them want the continuity of this corrupt system and share of government in order to squander national wealth.  Imperialists, including America and Britain, only feel threatened from Hizb ut-Tahrir and from its call for Khilafah. This is the only reason for banning Hizb ut-Tahrir all over the world. Our members are abducted, tortured and killed. My husband who has been fulfilling his obligation of accounting tyrant rulers with his pen and paper is being kept under illegal detention but on the other hand plunderers, thugs and agents of the imperialists are free to move around with full government security.

Respected members of media!

My husband Naveed Butt has been abducted by ISI officials on the orders of Kayani because he was strongly opposing the opening of NATO supply line and declaring Kayani, Zardari and Gilani traitors because they have helped America in order to spill the blood of thousands of Muslims in the name of war on terror. Tell me what is wrong in it or is it a crime to talk about the establishment of Khilafah in a country which was created in the name of Islam? Now it is an obligation upon you to raise your voice against this grave injustice other wise you will not be able to explain your position in this world after the establishment of Khilafah nor will any excuse on the Day of Judgment will save you from the wrath of Allah. Therefore you have a golden opportunity to respond to the call of Allah and his messenger (SAW) and save your Dunya and Aakhira. Allah Tala says:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ

O you who believe! Answer Allah and His Messenger (SAW) when he (SAW) calls you to that which will give you life. (Al-Anfal.24)

السلام علیکم!

آپ سب میرے شوہر کو اچھی طرح جانتے ہیں۔ وہ اپنی پیشہ ورانہ ذمہ داریوں کے سلسلے میں اکثر و بیشتر آپ لوگوں سے رابطے میں رہتے تھے۔ اور آپ یہ بھی اچھی طرح جانتے ہیں کہ 11 مئی 2012 بروز جمعہ انہیں حکومتی غنڈوں نے اس وقت اغوا کر لیا جب وہ اپنے بچوں کو سکول سے لے کر گھر پہنچے ہی تھے۔ میرے تین معصوم بچوں کے سامنے انہوں نے انہیں گھسیٹ کر گاڑی سے اتارا اور آئی ایس آئی کی مخصوص سفید سوزوکی کیری ڈبہ میں ڈال کر فرار ہو گئے۔

محترم نمائندگانِ ذرائع ابلاغ!

میرے شوہر گزشتہ بارہ برس سے ذرائع ابلاغ کے شعبے میں خلافت سے متعلق شعور و آگاہی کے فروغ کے لیے کام کر رہے ہیں۔ انہوں نے بحیثیت ترجمان حزب التحریر آپ میں سے کئی لوگوں سے انفرادی ملاقاتیں کیں۔ آپ میں سے کئی کو خطوط لکھے اور حزب التحریر کا لٹریچر اور کتابیں آپ تک پہنچائیں۔ ان کی آپ سے کوئی ذاتی غرض نہ تھی، نہ ہی انہیں اس کٹھن اور پر خار راستے میں کوئی مالی یا دنیاوی فوائد حاصل ہونے کی توقع تھی۔ وہ آپ سے صرف اس بات کے خواہاں رہے کہ آپ اس مشترک فریضے میں ان کے ساتھ شامل ہوں اور قیامِ خلافت میں اپنا حصہ ڈالیں۔ ہم نے بارہ سال اسی خوف میں گزارے کہ آج یا کل خفیہ ایجنسی کے غنڈے انہیں اٹھا کر نہ لے جائیں۔ یہی خطرہ اس مملکتِ خدادادِ پاکستان میں ہر اس مخلص مسلمان کو لاحق ہے جو اسلام کے مکمل نظام اور خلافت کے قیام کی کوشش کر رہا ہے۔ ہمارے کئی ممبران اور کارکنوں کو ایجنسیوں کی طرف سے ہراساں، قید اور اغوا کیا گیا۔ ہمارے قرآن و سنت ﷺ پر مبنی پبلک درسوں پر چھاپے مارے گئے اور کارکن گرفتار کئے گئے۔ ابھی بھی نوید بٹ کے علاوہ گزشتہ ایک ماہ سے زائد عرصے سے حزب کے ممبر حبیب اللہ ایجنسیوں کی غیر قانونی قید میں ہیں۔

محترم صحافی حضرات!

میرے شوہر نے ایک طویل عرصہ آپ کو یہ باور کرانے میں صرف کیا ہے کہ موجودہ جمہوری نظام، سرمایہ دارانہ نظام اور موجودہ حکومتیں اور سیاستدان ناکام ثابت ہو چکے ہیں اور اگلے سو سال تک بھی ناکام ہی رہیں گے۔ وہ آپ کو یہ بھی بتاتے رہے ہیں کہ اس مشکل صورتحال سے نکلنے کا صرف ایک ہی حل ہے، وہ حل جو اللہ سبحانہ وتعالیٰ کا عطا کردہ ہے اور جو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے قائم کیا تھا۔ اور جو حل 1924 تک نافذالعمل رہا۔ اور جس کے سائے تلے مسلمان مضبوط، مستحکم، عظیم الشان اور طاقتور ترین تھے۔ اور وہ حل جو ہمارے ایمان کا تقاضہ ہے کیونکہ اس کا قیام ہم پر فرض ہے۔ اللہ سبحان و تعالی کا فرمان ہے:

إِنْ الْحُكْمُ إِلاَّ لِلَّهِ

“حکم تو صرف اللہ ہی کا ہے۔” (یوسف۔67)

وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ الظَّالِمُونَ

“اور جو اللہ تعالی کے نازل کردہ احکامات کے ذریعے فیصلہ نہ کرے تو ایسے لوگ ہی ظالم ہیں۔”(مائدہ۔45)

مگر افسوس آپ میں سے اکثرنے اس پکار اور اپنے ضمیر کی آواز پر لبیک کہنے کے بجائے عارضی فائدوں، نوکریوں اور دنیا کو ترجیح دی۔ مگر یاد رکھیں اس وقت ملکی اور عالمی حالات جس نہج پر چل رہے ہیں آپ ان دنیاوی فائدوں سے بھی جلد ہاتھ دھو بیٹھیں گے۔ اس وقت تمام عالمِ اسلام بشمول پاکستان کو بلکہ پوری انسانیت کو صرف اللہ جل جلالہ کا نظام ہی بچا سکتا ہے۔ یاد رکھیں کہ یہ زندگی عارضی ہے اور وقتِ مقررہ سے پہلے کسی کو موت نہیں آسکتی۔ آپ کا خوف آپ کو دنیا میں بھی مشکلات میں مبتلا کرے گا اور آخرت میں بھی ندامت اور حزیمت کے سوا کچھ ہاتھ نہ آئے گا۔ اللہ سبحان وتعالی فرماتے ہیں۔

وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَنْ ذِكْرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكًا وَنَحْشُرُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَعْمَى

“اور جو میرے ذکر (قرآن) سے منہ موڑے گا تو اس کی زندگی تنگ ہو جائے گی اور قیامت کے دن بھی ہم اس کو اندھا کر کے اٹھائیں گے۔” (طہ۔124)

نبی ﷺ کا ارشاد ہے:

أَلَا لَا يَمْنَعَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ رَهْبَةُ النَّاسِ أَنْ يَقُولَ بِحَقٍّ إِذَا رَآهُ أَوْ شَهِدَهُ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يُقَرِّبُ مِنْ أَجَلٍ وَلَا يُبَاعِدُ مِنْ رِزْقٍ

“خوف تم میں سے کسی کو حق بات کہنے اور امراء کو نصیحت کرنے سے نہ روکے، جب وہ اسے دیکھے یا اس کی شہادت دے، بے شک حق بات کہنا نہ تو موت کو قریب کر سکتا ہے اور نہ ہی رزق کو دور کر سکتا ہے۔” (احمد)

لہٰذا خدارا! اس خوف کے گڑھے سے باہر آجائیں اور کھلم کھلا حزب التحریر کے نام اور جدوجہد کا تذکرہ کریں۔ اس کے گمشدہ کارکنوں او ر اسکے کارکنوں کو ہراساں کئے جانے کا ذکر کریں۔ میں آپ سے پوچھتی ہوں ظالم حکمرانوں کے سامنے کلمۂ حق کہنے کا بیڑہ کس نے اٹھا رکھا ہے؟ یہ کس کے ذمے ہے؟ کیا یہ میڈیا کا کام نہیں؟ جب تک آپ حزب کے نام اور دنیا بھر میں اس کی خلافت کے قیام کے لیے کی جانے والی جدوجہد اور قربانیوں کی خبریں چھاپنے سے گھبراتے رہیں گے تب تک نہ آپ لوگوں کے ذاتی حالات میں کوئی بہتری آسکتی ہے اور نہ ملکی اور عالمی حالات میں۔

محترم اینکر پرسنز، رپورٹرز اور کالم نگار صاحبان!

آج، جب میرے شوہر کو ان حکومتی غنڈوں نے 11 مئی 2012 کو اغوا کیا تھا اور پھر 24 مئی کو خفیہ ایجنسیوں نے ہمیں نوید بٹ کے قتل کی دھمکی پر مبنی پیغام بھیجا کہ اگر وہ اپنی دعوت سے باز نہ آئے تو نوید بٹ کو قتل کر کے ان کی لاش کو کہیں پھینک دیا جائے گا، آپ کا یہ دینی، اخلاقی اور پیشہ وارانہ فرض ہے کہ آپ اس درندگی اور لاقانونیت کے خلاف لکھیں اور پروگرام پیش کریں۔ کیونکہ بحیثیت ترجمان حزب التحریر ولایہ پاکستان ان کا آپ لوگوں سے قریبی واسطہ اور تعلق رہا ہے۔ اگر آپ اس ظلم پر خاموشی اختیار کریں گے تو یہ ایجنسیاں جنہیں حکمرانوں نے اپنی ذاتی لونڈی بنا رکھا ہے، اپنے ظلم میں اور شیر ہو جائیں گی۔ نبی ﷺ کا ارشاد ہے:

وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَتَأْمُرُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلَتَنْهَوُنَّ عَنْ الْمُنْكَرِ أَوْ لَيُوشِكَنَّ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عِقَابًا مِنْهُ ثُمَّ تَدْعُونَهُ فَلَا يُسْتَجَابُ لَكُمْ

“اس ذات کی قسم جس کے قبضے میں میری جان ہے تم ضرور بالضرور امر بالمعروف اور نہی عن المنکر کرو گے ورنہ خطرہ ہے کہ اللہ تم پر اپنی طرف سے عذاب نازل کر دے پھر تم اس کو پکارو گے لیکن وہ تمہاری دعا قبول نہیں کرے گا۔”(ترمذی)

عوام کو آگاہ کرنے اور حکمرانوں کو خوف میں مبتلا کرنے والا ہتھیار یعنی قلم اور کیمرہ تو صرف آپ لوگوں کے پاس ہے۔ تو کیاچیز آپ کو حقیقی تبدیلی لانے میںمدد کرنے سے روک رہی ہے؟ میرے شوہر آپ کو سینکڑوں بار بتا چکے ہیں کہ یہ صرف حزب ہی ہے جو اسلامی نظام کی مکمل تفصیلات، جزئیات اور عملی احکامات عوام کے سامنے پیش کر رہی ہے۔ جس کے پاس ایک قابلِ نفاذ اور مکمل طور پر قرآن و سنت ﷺ سے اخذ کردہ آئین موجود ہے۔ نیز دین و دنیا کے بہترین ماہرین، سیاستدانوں اور عالمی وژن رکھنے والے افراد پر مشتمل ٹیم بھی اسی حزب کا خاصہ ہے، جو آج بھی چالیس سے زائد ممالک میں پھیلی دنیا کی سب سے بڑی عالمی سیاسی جماعت کو ایک امیر تلے نہایت کامیابی سے چلا رہی ہے۔ تو پھر کیا چیز آپ کو اس حقیقی تبدیلی کے عمل میں شامل ہونے سے روک رہی ہے؟ جبکہ آپ خوب جانتے ہیں کہ نواز شریف سے لے کرفضل الرحمان تک اور عمران خان سے لے کر نام نہاد مذہبی جماعتوں تک کوئی بھی حقیقی اپوزیشن نہیں اور نہ ان میں سے کسی سے امریکہ اور اس کے ایجنٹوں کیانی، زرداری اور گیلانی کو کوئی خطرہ لاحق ہے۔ کیونکہ یہ تمام کے تمام اسی نظام کی بقا اور حکومتی لوٹ مار میں اپنی اپنی باری چاہتے ہیں۔ امریکہ اور برطانیہ سمیت استعمار کو اگر کوئی خطرہ ہے تو صرف اور صرف حزب التحریر اور اس کی خلافت کی پکار سے ہے۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ پوری دنیا میں ہم پر پابندی لگائی جاتی ہے، ہمارے ممبران کو اغوا، قید اور شہید کیا جاتا ہے۔ کاغذ اور قلم سے کلمہ ٔ حق ادا کرنے والے میرے شوہر کو غیر قانونی طور پر پابندِسلاسل رکھا جاتا ہے جبکہ استعمارکے ایجنٹ اور سرمایہ دارانہ نظام کے رکھوالے چور، ڈاکو، لٹیرے اور قاتل کھلے پھرتے ہیں۔

محترم نمائندگانِ ذرائع ابلاغ!

میرے شوہر نوید بٹ کو کیانی کے حکم پر آئی ایس آئی کے اہلکاروں نے اغوا کیا ہے۔ کیونکہ وہ نیٹو کی سپلائی لائن کھولنے کی شدید مخالفت کر رہے تھے۔ اور امریکہ کے ساتھ مل کر اس دہشت گردی کی جنگ میں ہزاروں بے گناہ مسلمانوں کا خون بہانے پر کیانی، زرداری اور گیلانی کو غدار قرار دے رہے تھے۔ مجھے بتائیے کہ اس میں کونسی بات غلط ہے؟ یا پھر اسلام کے نام پر قائم ہونے والے ملک میں خلافت کے قیام کی بات کرنا کوئی جرم ہے؟ پس اب یہ آپ کا فرض ہے کہ اس اغوا کے خلاف پر زور آواز بلند کریں۔ ورنہ آپ قیامِ خلافت کے بعد نہ تو دنیا میں اپنے حق میں کوئی صفائی پیش کر سکیں گے اور نہ ہی یومِ آخرت آپ کو کوئی حیلہ و حجت غضبِ الٰہی سے بچا سکے گا۔ لہٰذا آپ کے پاس اب بھی سنہرا موقع ہے کہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول ﷺ کی پکار پر لبیک کہہ کے اپنی دنیا و آخرت سنوار لیں۔ ارشادباری تعالیٰ ہے:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ

“اے ایمان والو اللہ اور رسول ﷺ کی پکار پر لبیک کہو جب وہ اس چیز کے لیے تمہیں پکاریں جس میں تمہارے لیے زندگی ہے” (انفال۔24)
